Helen Matturi signed up for the Red Cross disposal teams responsible for safely burying highly infectious victims as the outbreak began to tighten its grip on Sierra Leone's capital Freetown in 2014."At the onset of the Ebola outbreak, it was men that were handling the corpses of women, sometimes in an exposed fashion.Ebola bred fear and suspicion, particularly in rural areas where many believe that foreigners are responsible for spreading the disease, including the very humanitarian groups who helped overcome it.They are celebrated as heroes by their government and the international community, yet many face the harsh reality of stigmatisation rather than gratitude once back in their communities. The worst outbreak of the tropical fever in history ravaged west Africa over two years, infecting -- by the most conservative estimates -- almost 29,000 people and killing more than a third.Ebola Corpse ManThe fever, high-quality wholesale Automatic Loading And Unloading CNC Cylindrical Grinding which can cause fatal haemorrhaging, organ failure and severe diarrhoea, spread to 881 health workers, killing more than 500.Stigma, shame, discriminationA UNICEF survey of 1,400 households across Sierra Leone in 2014 found that Ebola survivors suffered high levels of stigma, shame and discrimination. The hostility encountered by both west African and western aid workers and medical staff has manifested itself not just in low-level disapproval but in sporadic bloodshed.

As well as shattering health services, economic growth and family life, it has also sewn deep fissures in communities hit hardest by the contagion. The hostility has hit not just health workers but also survivors, made pariahs by the fear of contagion and because their very existence is a painful reminder for families who lost loved-ones."The tropical pathogen, one of the deadliest known to humankind, is spread through contact with the bodily fluids of an infected person showing symptoms such as fever or vomiting, or the recently dead. "When some friends tracked him down and asked the reason for abandoning the house where we were living together, his answer was: 'I don't want an Ebola family'.Guinea and Sierra Leone saw numerous episodes of mobs attacking ambulances and burial teams as they imposed a state of emergency and began restricting movement of their populations."In some instances, I was openly called the Ebola Corpse Man and, since the nickname was persistent, I had to move," he said.Ebola passed on from survivors whose blood had been given the all-clear is thought to have been behind two small outbreaks in Liberia after it was initially declared Ebola-free.Momoh Sesay, a middle-aged farmer in Kambia, a major trading post in northwestern Sierra Leone, was already struggling with grief after losing his two wives and four children to the epidemic. I wanted to keep the dignity of women if they were dead," she said.He survived his own infection, but encountered hostility rather than sympathy when he returned home.Victor Koroma, another member of a Freetown burial team, told AFP he was forced to move home six times as landlords or neighbours found out how he was earning a living.

The violence reached a grim nadir in 2014 when eight members of an outreach team in southern Guinea were slaughtered by protesters who denied the existence of Ebola and denounced a "white conspiracy".Medical charity Doctors without Borders estimates around three-quarters of survivors are dealing with a variety of post-Ebola complications including headaches, fatigue and eye problems. In another survey by Sierra Leone's health ministry and the United States' Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 96 percent of respondents reported discrimination toward people who had beaten Ebola. Freetown: They may have conquered Ebola but survivors of the fever and the heroic workers who saved them face a new struggle: acceptance by communities after the end of the deadly epidemic.Ebola bred fear and suspicion, particularly in rural areas where many believe that foreigners are responsible for spreading the disease.Soon after joining up, her fiance left for work one morning and never returned. "Everything was went well at first when I was discharged," he told AFP.Scientists are working to establish how long it can persist in other bodily fluids and tissues such as they spinal column and the eye, and for how long it could remain infectious. An exacerbating factor has been the discovery that the virus can stay in semen for at least nine months after a patient has recovered, six months longer than previously thought.".It is due to be declared over as Liberia gets the all-clear Thursday, thanks to a brave army of doctors, nurses, grave diggers, contact tracers and others there and in neighbouring Sierra Leone and Guinea."But as soon as word went round that some male survivors sometimes have the virus in their semen, many of my best friends would wave to me from afar and then hurry on

"HKers will not scare off in the face of wolf warrior policy. That could include police cracking down on demonstrators and Chinese officials involved in Hong Kong policy -- as well as banks that conduct transactions with anyone involved in curbing the territory&China CNC Universal Cylindrical Grinding Machine Manufacturers39;s freedoms.Chris Patten, Hong Kong's final British governor before the 1997 handover, said the proposal signalled a "comprehensive assault on the city's autonomy" and would be "hugely damaging".China's move this week would circumvent Hong Kong's legislature by having it imposed by the national parliament, according to Wong and other campaigners. If it happens, we'll address that issue very strongly," Trump said.An attempt to have Article 23 pass through Hong Kong's legislature in 2003 was shelved after half a million people took to the streets in protest against it.Local pro-democracy lawmaker Tanya Chan said Beijing had "shown zero respect for Hong Kong people".It followed repeated warnings from China's communist leaders they would no longer tolerate dissent in Hong Kong, a semi-autonomous city that # endured seven months of massive pro-democracy protests last year. The State Department warned China's actions could impact its decision on that status.President Donald Trump gave a vague initial response that nevertheless warned of a stronger reaction.

Activists said the planned national security law, if implemented, would be one of the most significant erosions of Hong Kong's liberties since 1997.But the clause has never been implemented due to fears it would destroy Hong Kong's cherished civil rights..US senators on Thursday also introduced legislation to impose sanctions on any entity involved in curbing Hong Kong's autonomy. In announcing the plans late on Thursday night, the Communist Party gave few specifics for the planned law other than it would strengthen "enforcement mechanisms" for Hong Kong.US warningsThe United States reacted swiftly to China's announcement, with State Department spokeswoman Morgan Ortagus warning that imposing such a law on Hong Kong would be "highly destabilising, and would be met with strong condemnation from the United States and the international community".Eroding freedomsHong Kong has been allowed a limited form of autonomy since returning from British to Chinese rule in 1997, with those unique freedoms enshrined under a "One Country, Two Systems" handover agreement."Beijing's growing interference could have a chilling effect on other nations struggling for freedom in China's shadow," he said."Beijing is attempting to silence Hongkongers' critical voices with force and fear," Wong said on Twitter, while expressing defiance.

"I don't know what it is, because nobody knows yet."This is the end of Hong Kong, this is the end of 'One Country, Two Systems', make no mistake about it," Civic Party lawmaker Dennis Kwok told reporters.Prominent democracy activist Joshua Wong said China's message to protesters seeking to maintain their freedoms was clear.Hong Kong: China has launched one of its fiercest assaults on Hong Kong's treasured autonomy with its move to impose a security law, pro-democracy campaigners said Friday as they vowed to take to the streets in protest."Many Hong Kongers must be as angry as us now, but we must remember not to give up," she added.Article 23 of Hong Kong's mini-constitution, the Basic Law, says the city must enact a law to prohibit "treason, secession, sedition (and) subversion" against the Chinese government. The US Congress late last year angered China by passing a law that would strip Hong Kong's preferential trading status if it is no longer considered autonomous from the mainland."On internet threads and chat apps used by the pro-democracy movement, there were calls to resume the protests of last year that were largely subdued in recent months because of coronavirus restrictions. However, a huge pro-democracy movement has built in the face of fears China has been steadily eroding those freedoms. The proposal for the security law -- expected to ban treason, subversion and sedition -- was introduced into China's rubber-stamp parliament at the opening of its annual session on Friday morning."Hong Kong people will have to face the choice for their future," said one comment on the Telegram platform often used by protesters, calling for people to rally on Sunday.Senator Pat Toomey, who spearheaded the legislation, described Hong Kong as "the canary in the coal mine for Asia"

. “Audiences would come to watch a film because of the filmmaker, not because of the new faces. It is hard to garner audiences on face value unless you make a film purely on a concept,” explains the critic. On the other hand, Murtaza points out that there is no strategy to launch a newcomer.. She says that though these actors are associated with big banners, good content was missing in their films. “Nepotism prevails in the industry. Even the Sunny Deol-backed thriller Blank, starring Dimple Kapadia’s nephew Karan, drew blank at the box office. “If these debutantes are directed by Karan Johar, SLB or Rohit Shetty, then the film will have a chance to be successful. Today, people want something that they relate to rather than someone else’s life living in abroad,” he shares.Sharmin Segal, Meezaan Jaffrey and Sanjay Leela Bhansali“The blend of established actors and newcomers is a safe deal. While Salman Khan might have garnered a good fan following for himself and his films, his success didn’t guarantee a safe landing for his protégés. Mayank backs this opinion, saying that the big face in the film will surely pull the audience to the cinema halls. Pranutan Bahl, granddaughter of the late renowned actress Nutan, and Zaheer Iqbal, Salman’s childhood friend’s son, were launched in Notebook and in spite of the film getting good reviews, the film failed to interest the audience.Talent vs contentEvery year, hundreds of films make it to the screen but only a few newcomers actually get the recognition..Pranutan Bahl, Salman Khan, Zaheer IqbalFilm critic Mayank Shekhar agrees that getting backed by big banners and producers is not enough to make any film a hit, though he agrees that they also need star directors or producers. “Gone are the days when people would enjoy Karan Johar or Yash Raj style of film making.Meanwhile, film critic Murtaza Ali Khan believes that making a film successful is not dependent on face value or the actors’ backgrounds anymore, there is a need for a strong concept. When Hrithik Roshan was launched in Kaho Naa.

Those include Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria whose début film Student Of The Year 2 didn’t do well at the box office. It is too much. In these films, they have been backed by the banners but nothing else,” explains Mayank, adding that people will not go and watch a film because Salman Khan’s name is mentioned on the poster. Good stories and concepts have great importance,” says Murtaza, who observes that there was a time when these big banners were able to pull the audiences to cinemas, but this is the time when the audience is wooed by realistic stories. Pyaar Hai, it was only him in the entire phase. “Either the newcomer should be padded by some known actor, or they should make a small budget film with a good conviction,” says the filmmaker. Similarly, the year also witnessed Javed Jaffrey’s son Meezaan being launched opposite Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece Sharmin Segal in Malaal. Trade analyst Rajesh Vasani explains that talent is just as important as the big banners. If they want to launch a newcomer they should plan, it can’t be just accessed,” he rues in conclusion. Student of the Year worked despite having newcomers was because it was directed by Karan Johar. Ultimately, it is the talent and content that always works. “Even if the big star is not dominating the film, and the other person is a new face, the audience will come and watch the film because it is a star-driven film. Any film works on the basis of its first teaser and trailer,” says Rajesh. The first half of 2019 has been a mixed bag in Bollywood which saw surprise hits in Uri and Kabir Singh while many big banners failed the box-office test, despite being backed by A-list production houses. While some do manage to garner interest, courtesy their famous parents, they fail to bring the audience to the cinema halls. Despite the ace director’s production house promoting the film and the newcomers, it failed to do well.

In the last few years, Salman Khan has launched careers of many Bollywood stars but the last few— namely Sooraj Pancholi-Athiya Shetty in Hero, Ayush Sharma in Loveyatri and now Parnutan and Zahir in Notebook— have failed to set the Box-office ringing. These actors get industry backing, but high-quality China Automatic Loading And Unloading CNC Cylindrical Grinding that doesn’t mean they have talent as well. Now it’s like every movie has a new face of someone’s child.“Audiences have evolved in many ways. Sonakshi Sinha was launched opposite Salman Khan in Dabangg and Sanya and Zaira starred with Aamir Khan in Dangal. Filmmaker Fauzia Arshi adds that just because big names and famous families are supporting the newcomer, it does not translate to their success. They should also have equal talent,” explains the analyst. “Every month we see one new face launched. While Deepika entered the limelight opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om, Anushka too made her debut with Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. This begs the question of whether launching a new face with an established actor is a good idea, rather than all-new faces for the first time. And despite strong marketing and strategic promotions, some failed to get the cash registers ringing for their films. Fauzia too supports the idea of launching a newcomer with an established actor, so that the producer can recover the cost of the filmmaking. “It is not necessary that every newcomer, with some star producer or director’s backing, would work well, merely because he has a brand name.Backed by starsWhile bringing new talent to the screen is pivotal to the industry, it is also to be noted that actors like Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Sonakshi Sinha, Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, and most recently Sanya Malhotra and Zaira Wasim, were launched with established actors. It also saw a bunch of newcomers debuting in Bollywood. This element should be there, to begin with,” suggests the critic. Instead, there is a flood of all new faces. People want to see what they have not thought of,” she says

One wore a colourful Somali headscarf, in a nod to her Somali-American roots; the other, Rashida Tlaib, wore a maroon Palestinian thobe. The Tlaib episode is notable for several reasons. Millions watched it on the social media and on television. Tlaib’s use of inappropriate language is far beyond the narrow codes of decency that are viewed as permissible to most. The House majority leader, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, said she would not have used such words herself but that Tlaib’s words were certainly “nothing worse than (what) the President has said. Muslim-American organisations, many that balk at giving women, particularly women who do not cover their heads, leadership positions within their own organisations and boards, have been eager to embrace the two new emblems of Muslim-American leadership. It is not something that Muslim-American organisations (beyond those with a political and civil-rights bent) are inwardly enthusiastic about; it is, however, what they will regularly have to celebrate. That, however, is how it is — and in uttering the words, uncivil as they may have been, Rashida Tlaib has shattered more stereotypes than many generations of Muslim women put together. Given their roles within the Democratic Party’s progressive caucus, both Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar are slated to be the most liberal voices in Congress, a fact that is also likely to push once-conservative Muslim-America further to the left.Nearly every newspaper around the world covered the history-making event.

The freedom afforded to Tlaib in America is not a freedom she would enjoy in many parts of the Muslim world.Tlaib’s statement also reveals the turn that Muslims in America will have to take in the years to come. Not only will the face of Precision Grinding Machines for sale Muslims in America be female, it will be very outspoken and unafraid, and willing to fight a President who has made Islam the most suspiciously viewed religion in America.org, which has long opposed President Donald Trump and his policies. Many did. Few, Muslim or non-Muslim, would have guessed that one of the two new Muslim-American representatives would be the first to do so. Together, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib became the first Muslim women in the history of the US to become two of over 400 House representatives. Republicans, eager to find a reason to castigate the now winning and gloating Democrats — particularly a brown, Muslim and very progressive Democrat — were quick to denounce the language used by Tlaib. She stood by her words; she had said exactly what she had intended to say, and what she had meant to say. On Thursday, January 3, 2019, two Muslim-American women were sworn into the United States House of Representatives. These facts are notable because they are uncommon ones in other places where Muslim women hold office; in most Muslim-majority countries, not only would a woman be criticised for using what is deemed inappropriate language, the feeble protections that safeguard freedom of expression would readily be mowed over. Many agreed with her; a hashtag echoing her call for impeachment trended on Twitter for hours as angry Democratic supporters rallied in favour of Tlaib, noting that she had finally said what so much of the country has been thinking and saying.By arrangement with Dawn. And, yet, it is just such an expression of Muslim rage that is admissible given the bans, surveillance and demonisation that Muslim-Americans routinely face in Trump’s country. When asked to take the microphone, representative Tlaib recounted a conversation she had previously had with her son.

No sooner had the clip featuring Representative Tlaib hit the contentious airwaves of American cable news that it went viral. Far less noxious language used by Muslim women in political office in Muslim-majority countries has resulted in far greater consequences. And we’re going in there and we’re going to impeach the (expletive). Threatening Republican mobs did not gather outside her house, and while Trump did say that her comments were “highly disrespectful” and that she had “dishonoured herself” when specifically asked, he too was powerless to actually stop her from using similar language in the future. Through one or another rule or agency directive, she would face immediate consequences, likely even losing the power of her elected position. For starters, while she may have been criticised by certain news media outlets and Republican politicians, she did not face any actual consequences for her use of indecent language. “Bullies don’t win,” her son had told her. Many of the more than 100 American women elected to the House last week would have liked to give to the President a dose of what he has been dishing out to everyone else. Tlaib said she responded with, “Baby, they don’t. Such was the excitement about her thobe that a Twitter hashtag, #showyourthobe, asked other Palestinian-American women to also display their own embroidered traditional garments. Cameras followed the two everywhere, from the moment they arrived in the capital, to the time they along with their families celebrated after the oath of office was administered.President Trump has used some of the filthiest and profanity-laced language for women. This, however, was not how the hubbub over Rashida Tlaib’s swearing-in would end. The cameras that had been trailing the newly elected representative followed her to a reception held that evening by the progressive organisation MoveOn.For her part, Tlaib refused to apologise. The House minority leader immediately demanded an apology, using strong language to criticise Tlaib.” Other Democrats, particularly those belonging to the prim and trite “when they go low, we go high” Obama-Clinton camps, who have long insisted that they must stand for civility and not bow to the depths Trump plunges to, were also critical.” Applause followed and Tlaib quickly gave up the microphone. She was not officially censured; the US government did not begin any proceedings against her

The first category of the maqasid provides ontological guidance, consisting of respect for religious freedom (haqq al din); for the sacredness of the individual person (haqq al nafs), including right to life; for the sacred nature of the derivative communities from family to nation to humankind and beyond (haqq al nasl), including communitarian pluralism; and for our physical environment (haqq al mahid, from wahda or oneness). The issue of duties should not be confused with the issue of rights. He is currently Editor in Chief of the Armonia Journal). Their writings are then used extensively by phobic non-Muslims. The practice of women wearing head-cover was normal in public until a century-and-a-half ago, when secular triumphalism began to replace the transcendent source of religion as the origin and essence of values and of the very concept of both personal and societal virtue. More than half a millennium ago, Ibn Khaldun, who is considered to be the world’s first sociologist, explained the difference between the bad asabiya, namely, tribalism, and the good asabiya, community loyalty. The point of this article on Islamophobic fear of women in so-called “required traditional dress” is that the legitimacy or even the duty and requirement of total or even partial face-cover in Muslim applicable law, known as fiqh, is not an issue of moral value within the higher principles of justice in Islamic jurisprudence (maqasid al shari’ah). The question then becomes, what does Islam teach and what do Muslims think that it teaches. The key issue for jurisprudents should be the extent to which any cultural practice results from deformation of religion into tribalism. He finished his 4-volume textbook, Islam and Muslims: Essence and Practice. At the highest level of nationhood such good asabiya would make possible cooperation of nations, based on each one’s pride in its own heritage, common values in the present, and common hopes for the future, in a confederal system of government, especially suitable for the nations in Central and Southwest Asia, where the alternative is perpetual warfare.Islamophobia is an extremist phobia against what one considers to be fundamental teachings of Islam as a world religion.

(The author was appointed US Ambassador to the UAE with responsibility for two-track diplomacy with the Muslim Brotherhood chapters in the Middle East and North Africa. The second category is epistemological and is designed for axiological application in ever greater specifics. In regard to both the burqa and niqab, my opinion is that the teaching of Prophet Muhammad provides the wisest advice, namely, that Muslims should follow the practices of the society in which they live to the extent that any particular practice is not clearly un-Islamic. In the Western world simple head-cover is not generally considered to be extremism. The good asabiya consists of pride in the best of one’s own community so that one can appreciate and support the best of other communities in mutual cooperation for everyone’s benefit. The understandable and correct assumption is that this woman must be a Muslim, followed by the incorrect assumption that therefore Islam teaches terrorism and breeds terrorists. Now, Cylindrical Grinding Machine factory after many centuries of intellectual stagnation, scholars are replicating the long-forgotten, critical analysis necessary to uncover the extent of the fraudulent nature of hadith invented to justify the un-Islamic practices that one ruler or another had imposed. Instead this practice has become an issue of personal identity in the fragmentation of society illustrated by the opposite extreme whereby some “liberated” women now claim that they are free to choose and to shift back and forth at will among as many as 52 different sexual identities. The practice of women wearing head-cover was normal in public until a century-and-a-half ago, when secular triumphalism began to replace the transcendent source of religion as the origin and essence of values and of the very concept of both personal and societal virtue.

The issue of women wearing a face-cover, a burqa, in public is different from wearing hijab or head-cover to keep private a woman’s attractive hair. These are economic justice, including reduction of the wealth gap by reform of money, credit, and banking in order to universalise individual capital ownership; political justice, specifically through khilafa, shurah, and ijma; gender equity as part of human honour; and freedom of thought, publication, and assembly, known as haqq al ’ilm and more specifically as haqq al ’aql. The second point is that the so-called textual bases of extremist interpretations of Islam, by Muslims as well as by non-Muslims, are being deconstructed by critical analysis not in the sense of criticising Islam but in the second dictionary sense of the word “critical”, namely, “exercising, or involving, careful judgement”. The bad asabiya consists of self-worship as a means to assert and maintain one’s identity by looking down on others as inferior. Even self-declared “traditionalist” Muslims can be guilty of Islamophobia by misinterpreting classical Islam. This can be triggered by seeing a woman swathed in black clothes wearing a black mask covering part or even all of her face, popularly called a burqa, like a supposed bank robber or terrorist. In Islamic jurisprudence the specific rules for application, namely the axiology or fiqh, should be derived both from the rationally derived purposes and from the specific rules evident in divine revelation and prophetic practice

But Saudi activists say social change will only be cosmetic without dismantling the kingdom’s rigid guardianship system, which requires that women seek permission from a male relative to study, travel and other activities.Saudi women now no longer need male permission to start business.“It’s a rite of passage for women.Saudi Arabia ranked a low of 138 out of 144 countries in the 2017 Global Gender Gap Report by the World Economic Forum on gender parity.”Prince Mohammed’s Vision 2030 reform plan for a post-oil era seeks to elevate women to nearly one-third of the workforce, up from about 22 per cent now.Bukhari, previously employed in a junior role by the same parent company, was forced to go on the defensive, telling critics she was in a managerial position and not physically handling fuel nozzles. The reform introduces a novel concept in married life: mutual consent. The social change, catalysed in large measure by what experts characterise as economic pain owing to a protracted oil slump, has introduced a series of firsts.“Women today have the right to do any work. But Riyadh is seeking to change that through what appears to be social engineering. The decision to allow women to drive after a decades-long ban could give women the much-needed mobility to join the workforce. But the backlash faced by women like Bukhari illustrates how newfound empowerment high-quality wholesale Automatic Loading And Unloading CNC Cylindrical Grinding is a potential social lightning rod in a country unaccustomed to such visibility for women.

One Saudi woman told AFP how she was stuck in limbo, unable to even renew her passport, when her father, her only male guardian, slipped into a coma after an accident.“Maybe five years from now it will be normal to see women at gas stations,” he said, kissing his mother’s hand. For the first time, women are seen alongside men in jazz music concerts and in mixed-gender restaurants, as the influence of the once-feared religious police — notorious for enforcing gender segregation — appears to be waning.Saudi media has championed in recent months the first woman restaurant chef, first woman veterinarian and even the first woman tour guide.“Saudi women are better educated, but less mobile, less employed and vastly underpaid,” Karen Young, a scholar at the Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington, told AFP.Saudi Arabia also recently annulled the “house of obedience” article in the marriage law, which grants a husband the right to summon his wife to his home against her will.Khobar, Saudi Arabia: Mervat Bukhari, a force of nature draped head-to-toe in Islamic niqab, braved insults and taunts to become the first Saudi woman to work at a gas station, something unimaginable not long ago.“If I could choose between the right to drive or the right to end guardianship, I would choose the latter,” a women’s activist said on the condition of anonymity. The kingdom, where conservatives once bridled at even limited freedoms for women, is in the midst of reforms that mark the biggest cultural shake-up in its modern history. I don’t fill gas myself,” she reasoned, seeking to win a modicum of respectability for a job that class-conscious Saudi men disdain. The reforms have seen the Saudi labour market slowly open up to women, introducing them to jobs that were once firmly the preserve of men.

The reforms have had an unwitting consequence, observers note — competition with arch-nemesis Iran to be more liberal over women’s rights.“This is not a revolution, this is evolution,” Hoda al-Helaissi, a member of the advisory Shura Council, told AFP, referring to newfound social liberties.Authorities appear to be slowly dismantling the many injustices against women ingrained in the law. When Bukhari, 43 and a mother of four, was promoted as supervisor of a gas station in eastern Khobar city last October, insults began pouring in on social media with the hashtag “Saudi women don’t work at gas stations”.That leaves many vulnerable to the whims of a controlling father, a violent husband or a vengeful son.Women inmates are often reported to be stuck in prisons after completing their terms because they were not claimed by their guardians.Average monthly salaries in the private sector are close to 8,000 Saudi riyals ($2,134,1,748 euros) for men, and only 5,000 riyals for women, according to research firm Jadwa. But women face sobering realities — despite often being better qualified than men.But the 16-year-old prefers to hide his mother’s job from his peers, hoping to protect her from even more insults.Tehran recently relaxed its crackdown on women failing to wear the compulsory headscarf.Government statistics also put more than one million Saudi women as currently looking to enter the workforce.Kickstarted by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the reforms include the historic decision allowing women to drive from June, attend soccer games and take on jobs that once fell outside the narrow confines of traditional gender roles..Horror stories have regularly surfaced.”Back at Bukhari’s home in neighbouring Dammam city, she embraced her youngest son Mohammed — who stood by her even as her brothers decried her gas station job as a shocking breach of tradition.“I am a supervisor.“The well-known expression: ‘You are a woman, cover your face’ seems to be disappearing from our society,” human rights lawyer Abdulrahman al-Lahim wrote recently in the pro-government Okaz newspaper

The face indicates presence. The psalmist “seeks the face of God” ever yearning to experience divine presence and power. Let’s get behind the faces we see today and strive to brighten up a few of them with a kind word, a generous deed or a contagious smile. “O God, may your face shine upon us that we may be saved” and “May the Lord make his face to shine upon you”. But, did you check about wearing a big smile to light up your face? A song from the Broadway musical Annie insightfully says: “You’re never fully dressed without a smile”. Gospel writer Luke describes the face of Christianity’s first martyr, Stephen, as the “face of an angel” and the transfigured face of Jesus “shone like the sun” indicating his divine nature. The faces of those you call chaiwalla, sabziwalli, chowkidar, maali or driver might only interest you for providing the services you need.

Today, your face will reveal to those you meet whether you’re glad or sad, whether you wish to talk to them or ignore them, and whether you wish them well or are simply uninterested in their welfare. So, why don’t you put your best face forward to everyone you’ll face today? In the Bible, “face” has many meanings. To “see the face” simply means to be in the presence of someone. When the king asks: “Why is your face sad?” it means, “Why are you sad?” With childlike simplicity, when Moses desires to hide himself, he covers his face and his radiant face amply indicates that he has seen God. But they all have names, besides being fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers of someone who loves them dearly. Moreover, the face wholesale CNC Universal Cylindrical Grinding Machine online stands for light and blessing. How true. Face stands for the “self”.Your face is your passport to enter into people’s lives. To honour one’s face is to honour the person her/himself.

Wouldn’t it be good to put names to faces?Giving a few extra bucks to the driver who drove you to work, asking the maali about his family, or gifting your cook a new sari occasionally cause faces to brighten and smiles to lengthen. The face reveals nature and character.Every face tells a story.Be attentive to those you will face today. Even if others’ faces do not light up; surely, one will: yours. Prophet Ezekiel reproaches the wicked by saying: “Shame shall be on their faces”.Finally, the face reveals emotions: “No longer shall Jacob be ashamed, no longer shall his face grow pale,” and, “A glad heart makes a cheerful countenance”.Getting dressed this morning, you must have certainly looked into a mirror. You probably took great care to make yourself look presentable, even lovable.
